Hi, my name is Joel Vazquez WE0DX (ex-WP3ME, ex-AE4SR) and I’m from San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. I’m married with Lizmary Hernandez. She is also an amateur radio operator! Her call is WP3QH.
I’ve been an amateur radio operator since 2001 and started working mainly on VHF and UHF bands since then, but now with the changes that the FCC make eliminating the CW as a requirement I did my General and Extra Class upgrades! I really enjoy FT8 and FT4 digital modes, do some contesting now and then, general HF DXing, and even CW.
We moved to Kansas City, MO. In here I was able to setup a End-Fed wire antenna for 80m-6m (Princeton Antennas – EF53) approx 25-30 feet from the ground. Recently Im taking down that antenna and installing a Cushcraft D4 Rotatable Dipole. Check the post here.
